Alternate takes from “Double Fantasy” sessions, presented in wonderful sound quality. A great CD and you’ll get to hear Lennon’s last album in a new perspective. Much was taken from the ‘Lost Lennon Tapes’ series. Excellent soundboard stereo sound. These are close to the final versions of the album’s songs without strings and multi-tracking of vocals. John’s songs especially benefit from this clean sound and show that he hadn’t lost his edge, voice or wit. Starting Over, Watching The Wheels and Woman sound as if they could have been left off of the IMAGINE album.
