FAQ
Questions collectors usually ask
Short answers about rare bootleg CDs, collector packaging, buyer protection, shipping costs, tracking and special requests.
What is Lost Tape Club?
Lost Tape Club is a collector-to-collector archive and online store focused on rare bootleg CDs, live recordings, studio sessions, outtakes, demos, box sets and hard-to-find music material. It is made for fans who care about specific concerts, unreleased sessions, alternate versions, historical moments and recordings that are usually very difficult to find through regular stores or streaming platforms.
What are bootleg CDs?
Bootleg CDs are unofficial collector releases of recordings that almost never appear in regular stores or on streaming platforms: live concerts, soundboard tapes, radio and TV broadcasts, studio outtakes, alternate mixes, demos and rehearsal sessions. Collectors look for them because of the music itself: specific concerts, tours, versions and historical moments that official catalogs never released.
You can browse our full archive on the bootleg CDs page or jump straight to browse by artist.
Are these Silver Press CDs?
No. These are high-quality CDR collector releases, not factory Silver Press CDs. For this kind of bootleg / unofficial collector material, Silver Press is not really the right category to expect. The value is the music itself: live recordings, studio sessions, outtakes and collector material that is usually very hard to find through regular stores or streaming platforms.
They are professionally made with full custom artwork, printed discs and collector packaging.
Are buyers protected?
Yes. Orders are paid through PayPal Goods & Services, not Friends & Family. That means the buyer is protected. If there is any problem with an order, PayPal gives you a secure way to open a claim and recover your money.
Your order is handled carefully and shipped from the United States. We know trust matters with collector items, especially rare bootleg CDs, so the buying process is kept clear and protected.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated automatically based on your destination and the number of CDs in your order.
Add the titles to your cart and enter your destination to see the exact shipping cost before payment. When you order several CDs together, the shipping cost per CD becomes proportionally lower than shipping each CD separately.
Will I receive a tracking number?
Yes. Orders are shipped with tracking. Once your package is dispatched, you will receive a tracking number so you can follow the shipment.
Where do orders ship from?
All orders ship from the United States. The shipping carrier may vary depending on the destination and the size of the order.
How long does shipping take?
Orders are usually prepared and shipped within seven days. Once shipped, transit within the United States usually takes about one to three days. For international orders, delivery time depends on the destination country.
The tracking number lets you follow the package after dispatch.
What kind of recordings are available?
The catalog includes many different kinds of sources: soundboard recordings, audience recordings, radio and TV broadcasts, studio sessions, outtakes, demos, rehearsals and alternate versions.
The variety of sources is part of the collector nature of the catalog, with material from specific concerts, tours, sessions and historical moments.
Can I see real product photos?
Yes. You can see real examples of the packaging, printed discs and finished presentation on our real Lost Tape Club product photos page or in this Facebook photo album. If you want to check a specific title before ordering, send us a message and we can help.
Can I ask for a title, suggest material or request recommendations?
Yes. We are always open to collector conversations, title suggestions and questions about rare material. If you are looking for something specific, send the artist, title, year, venue, label or any detail you have and we will check what may be available.
If you are not sure what to buy, tell us the artists you collect, the period you like, or the kind of material you enjoy: live shows, studio outtakes, demos, soundboards, radio broadcasts, box sets, Beatles sessions, classic rock rarities or specific tours.
